The RVSMDC has been collecting, quality controlling, and distributing research vessel meteorological data since 1994. Access to data from previous projects includes:

• TOGA-COARE IOP (Oct 1992 - Feb 1993)[access data]
• WOCE (1988-1998) [access data] [access inventory]
• Additional Select RVs (1992-present) [access data] [access inventory]

These data were all received at the RVSMDC as delayed-mode reports (typically 6 months to 2 years after observation date). They have all undergone a two-level quality evaluation that includes automated processes and visual inspection. These evaluation methods were the precursors to the SAMOS data quality evaluation. Data documentation and quality control reports are available for each data set. At present, no data search tool is available for these data; however, text inventories are available.
